SD cards can be very difficult to recover
We had a client int the United Kingdom, Belfast who lost critical files form their SD card, the photos and videos on their SD card were irreplaceable. When the client had gone to transfer the files over to their computer, the computer had failed to recognise the device and prompted them to reformat it. An accidental click was all it took to completely reformat the SD card. A reformat is a small change with big consequences. In our data recovery diagnosis, we discovered that a few damaged cells prevented the client’s computer from recognising the device. This damage had not been caused by any sort of physical trauma, but just unfortunate wear on the chips. But the client’s data still lived somewhere on the SD card and thankfully we were able to recover 100% of all lost data.
